NCAA Cross Country

Been a while since I updated as I've been very busy of late. Just shot the NCAA Cross Country championships in Terre Haute, so thought I'd post a few images.

I never enjoyed running too much. I used to have to run a lot when I played basketball in school, and it wasn't much fun. I remember the long distance running we used to do in the summer conditioning program and how myself and a couple other lazy teammates used to duck into the cornfield and wait for everyone to pass so we wouldn't have to run the entire course. Seems like it was about a four mile run, and we probably ran less than a mile!

Are you ready for some football?

Football season is underway! I've been shooting a lot early on and have been swamped.

Thought I'd get a few pictures up since it might be a while before I update the blog again.

I have a little bit of college and also NFL as the season kicked off in Pittsburgh with Tim McGraw and the Black Eye Peas, followed by the return of Brett Favre (again) in purple.

2010 Senior Amanda Reardon

Sneak peek at a few of my favorites from 2010 Austin HS senior Amanda Reardon's session.

I'll hopefully have the rest of the images online in a week or two for the Reardon family to view. Stay tuned!

Wild Weekend

A very wild and exhausting weekend as I shot five events in a span of 48 hours or so.

First up was the Colts preseason opener, followed by the Lions opener and the Tigers hosting the Royals in Detroit. The Lions game had fewer fans than the Tigers did.

Finally on Sunday, a sparse crowd watched the Reds host the Nats in Cincinnati, then I shot the women's finals in the ATP tennis event in Cincinnati.

I'm going to sleep.

Fenway Park and the Green Monster

My first trip to Fenway. Shot a lot of cool stuff, plus got to visit and old school friend.

Red Sox also defeated the hapless Royals.

Now off to the fair booth, come see us!

NY, NY!

A rare trip to NYC via Philadelphia. Shot a Yankees game in the NEW House that Ruth Built.

It was a tough night for the Yankees...until I left! Since it was a 7:05 pm game and since I had a flight the next day I decided to bail after the 7th inning. Of course, the Yankees rallied and won in the bottom of the 9th so I missed the celebration.

Oh well, got a lot on the new stadium and some good action photos.

Oh, almost forgot! Shot the "Donald" as well! Trump was in attendance (in the stands, no less) with the Leprechaun, Bill O'Reilly.

Sleepless In Seattle

A couple of pics from my trip to Seattle, where I shot a pair of University of Washington basketball games.

I've done work with the university for several years and I often make one or two trips out there annually. It's a really neat place but a very, very long flight!

I reference the phrase "Sleepless In Seattle" obviously because of the movie bearing that title, but also because it fits the bill here as I returned to Louisville on a red-eye and went straight to Freedom Hall for a Cardinals basketball game upon landing with virtually no sleep. It took me two days to recover!

Hangin' with the Dawgs (and Bon Jovi) in Florida

Shot a couple football games in the warm weather of Florida on Jan. 1 and Jan. 4. It was hard to leave the 80 degrees and sun.

Georgia Bulldogs defeated Michigan State 24-12 in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, while the Baltimore Ravens upended the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Wild Card Playoff game at Dolphin Stadium.

Oh, and Bon Jovi likes sushi!

UC Bearcats Big East Champs

Shot the University of Cincinnati Bearcats today as they defeated Syracuse 30-10 at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati to lay claim to the 2008 Big East Conference championship. This is the school's first football championship and the masses celebrated. UC is now expected to play in a Bowl Championship Series game, most likely the Orange Bowl in Miami.
